I work at the Association of Science-Technology Centers in Washington, DC. ASTC is an international association of science centers, museums, and other organizations dedicated to public understanding of science. I came to ASTC from the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix, where I was the content developer for exhibits and education programs. Before that, I was a professional archaeologist for 15 years. I carried out fieldwork and analysis in Europe, the Near East, the American Southwest, Great Plains, and the Canadian Arctic. My job at ASTC includes helping to build the area of the website called ASTC Connect, the online learning center for the science center community. I help to integrate some of the lessons learned through work with ASTC Connect into the workshops offered through Astronomy from the Ground Up.
